The Adventure Begins!

Wednesday July 7th 2005 – The adventure begins! Mike has officially retired and I have officially quit. Intel has been very good to us but we are so excited to begin this new phase in our life. We sold our home in Olympia and we moved out April 1st 2005. The move took some very good planning. We went through everything we owned, sold some in a massive garage sale (Thanks to Brandon and Karen for helping us with the rainy day sale), we gave truckloads of good usable “stuff” to the goodwill, we made several trips to the dump with not so good unusable stuff and we farmed out furniture to Brandon & Karen, Marc & Maria and John & Sheri. A small storage unit in Vancouver holds the remainder of our things that we couldn’t part with. April 1st we moved into our motor home and from April to July 7th, we lived at Deep Lake Resort in Tumwater, WA. What a beautiful park and what an incredible freeing experience. I think I might like this lifestyle! Today we headed south to Sunriver.
