Just home from Mexico (last month).. and now we’re off to
MEXICO

    We love Mexico

This trip we spent 2 weeks in Puerto Vallarta…

 Such a relaxing time…

We took a tour that included the Marieta islands.
The birds are protected by the Mexican government
at the recommendation of Jacque Cousteau

We took an 8 hour “city tour”
FANTASTIC….

Back home in Yuma safe and sound.

 Summer Fun is getting close !!

Early in March, the Pickleball group hosted a “Mexican Fiesta”
What fun !!

Next was the Hawaiian Dinner and dance

So much fun and great music

Then comes a really fun Convertible Run….out to lunch
then off to………..

The Center of the Universe.

The middle of March brought St. Patricks Day….
and an end of the year Materials Girls Potluck.

And a St Patty’s Day parade too….

Mike took a a very special step this month,
He was baptized.  I am so proud of him.

The weather is perfect for a trip with “Tiny”

A trip to Puerto Penasco, Mexico.

We drove east to Gila Bend, AZ….then south
to Lukeville, AZ.  That is where we crossed the border
into Mexico.  Another hour and we were in Puerto Penasco.

One evening, we went out into the Sea of Cortez
on a Sunset Cruise…and we saw this

After a fun week in Mexico, we headed home….crossing
the Border into the US.

February snuck right by me……

The month started with Mike’s 75^th birthday
Dinner out with Pat & Rollie and Jennifer & Jerry

Later in the month, we took a “Topless Run” to Martinez lake.
Weather was perfect!
Great day for a convertible trip.

I love it.

Valentines Day at a street party….

On a beautiful day a few weeks ago, we had a “Street Party”
So much fun and such a great way to meet all our neighbors.

Love his voice…….  Great street concert!

Once again, our little Anna has amazed us.
At her most recent gymnastics competition in Couer d’ Alene, ID
Anna tied for first on the Vault, 2^nd on the bars and beam and first on the floor…

SHE ALSO GOT FIRST ALL AROUND.
Amazing !!!

 

What a month….

January 2022

 

Covid Continues….. will it ever stop ??

Back home from Christmas, we brought in the New Year at a party at Country Roads.

Out off-roading with Neil, Marilyn, Janet & Tom Kornmesser
Fun day with great friends.

 

We saw my favorite desert critters,,,,,wild donkeys.
I just love them !

The desert can be so beautiful.
This is the Colorado River separating California from Arizona.

Next, we drove up to Las Vegas to see Anna participate in a gymnastics event.
This is Brandon, Karen, & Anna with her gymnastics friend ...and Mike.

Anna did so well… 2,600 gymnasts
For her age/level group, she got 4^th on the vault…..
5^th on the floor and and 6^th overall

We had a visit from Myrtle…… our neighbor down the street
used to own several daycare facilities and she would dress up
for her kids…… this time she dressed up for our 93 year old neighbor.
What a kick !!

One beautiful sunny day, we took a topless trip (convertible’s were topless…. not us)
up to Martinez lake with Pat & Rollie.
Great day!

January has come to a close…… next is Mike’s birthday
75…. I’m married to an OLD man !!

2021 is almost over….

Two of the folks that live here in Country Roads are
Brock and Sherry Quast…..

They entertain us frequently…..  great voices.

Country Roads celebrates the holidays with a decorated golf cart parade.

So much fun !

Our little snowmen…….  Who won’t see any snow.

We arrived in Portland the 16^th for Maria’s masters graduation.

Congratulations Maria!!

A few days later, we drove up to Sunriver for some serious snow time!

like a couple of ski bunnies)

Fun Christmastime !!

A quick trip back to Vancouver….. a little snow at Brandon and Karen’s

But inside…. It’s all toasty and warm.

 We had a wonderful Christmas at Brandon and Karen’s.

Karen’s family all came for a great Christmas dinner and it was fun seeing all of them. 

Somehow, I caught a cold while in the cold weather…… how did that happen?
Our flight back to Phoenix was cancelled due to the weather.

The next day, we made it home……

Great holidays with the kids….. Nice to be back home.
