Oregon - We're here!! - Mike & Janet - June 2025

 

Summer is buzzing past……

Mike has enjoyed Golf with Marc, Camryn and Maria….

I have enjoyed riding around with them.!!

 

We have put Tiny up for sale Tiny was just too tiny for the two fo us.

Tiny sold to a really nice couple from Rockaway.

AND

We bought a Grand Design Imagine.

It is wonderful….not too much longer than Tiny but it has a slide (really helpful) and it has a Murphy Bed (that give us so much more room)

We are so excited to start camping.  There area so many places we can go……the coast…..the mountains…..the lakes……. Here we come !

We went up to Stub Stewart State Park for a trial run!
We went with John and Sheri and had a great time.

The middle of June, we took our convertible Mustang and went topless with John and Sheri and Ron and Jan down to Albany.

We went to a carousel museum….very interesting and
of course we also got a ride!

The next day we drove through  the countryside and saw four different covered bridges.  Beautiful.

We also stopped and toured the Oregon Gardens…..
Not a lot in bloom at this time of year but I was told earlier in the Spring it’s spectacular

I have started Physical Therapy for my back pain……
not sure if it is helping or not.

The big project for June is our back deck.  Mike and his friend Joe along with John Soukup have built a beautiful deck.  A wonderful addition to our very plain backyard.

We have been watching our “Grandog” Duke while our kids were out of town……… so much fun.  Duke is loving the backyard too!

 July is here!

April is over already……

What a busy month……. The time is flying by

but only 3 pictures!

Oregon State Baseball……… OSU is doing great #3 in the Nation  right now.

We have spent time watching our Grand-dog Duke.
Duke is a great dog and so much fun to have in our new home.
We also have another Grand-dog, Enzo……. Enzo
has yet to stay with us.

We have been busy getting furniture for  our new home……
A big house without a stick of furniture.
I know it sound like fun….. but it gets tiring after a while.

This picture is a sectional we bought (used) had it cleaned and decided we didn’t like it

Away it went.  Sold it!

 

We are enjoying Oregon….more than I expected,

Next week we are traveling to Fort Worth Texas for the
the college graduation of one of my grandson’s
Colby is graduating from TCU.

March is over already……

What a busy month…….

We  have officially moved to Oregon….Sherwood Oregon
just south of Portland

Brandon took Mike to an Oregon State Baseball game – IT POURED!
but Mike had a great time…..  pictured are Brandon, Anna and Mike

We got to have our grand-dog over for a week.

Mike was on walk duty !
Our house is in a quiet little neighborhood – we love it! 

 

Moving was a really big deal……… a lot of work for us old folks….
But now we are here and enjoying the kids and grandkids…
It’s all working out in the end.

Sorry this is so short.  Things are slowing down – I will try to do better next month!

Moving Again - Oregon - Here we Come - Mike & Janet - January 2025.

     January 2025 

We started off January with a cool visit to the Ice cream stand near us.
A small beautiful outdoor setting.

Some dear friends of ours, celebrated their 50^th Anniversary.

Meanwhile back in Oregon, Duke is getting ready for a “walk” in the rain,
Isn’t he looking handsome and ready for the weather?

While up in Oregon for Christmas, we got to see a Blazer Game.
It was so much better in person, rather than on TV.
and “YES” they won !

Our most recent concert here in Country Roads was “Kenny &  Dolly”
My favorite concert ! 
They were outstanding – the best!

They looked good and really sounded like the original duo.
We have been really busy getting our life packed up and ready for our move to Oregon 
January is over – next month will be a very busy month, Moving and all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR  !!

Well – its official.
We are moving to Oregon…Sherwood Oregon
We have sold the Jeep and our home and have a
moving date of February 28^th.

We have purchased a home in
Sherwood…..
20906 SW Trails End Drive
Sherwood, Oregon  97140.
 

It will be so good to be close to our boys.

The home is wonderful and we are so very excited.

We sold our Yuma home fully furnished…..

So everything we get in Sherwood will be new (atleast new to us)

So much fun !

Thanksgiving has come and gone….
Christmas is coming!

We started out the month with a great concert

This was a tribute to Roy Orbison

We had a wonderful Veterans Day Celebration.

Veterans celebration includes a great parade too!

Later in the month, we drove over to Tucson
for Mike to see a VA dentist.

The drive was beautiful.

We ended the month with two Thanksgiving dinners!

First, on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we went to a nearby restaurant with friends for a great dinner.

 On Thanksgiving, we spent the day at Mike’s
sisters.  Pat had a fantastic traditional dinner.

Wonderful day!
