Oregon - We have arrived ! - Mike & Janet - March 2025

 

March is over already……

What a busy month…….

We  have officially moved to Oregon….Sherwood Oregon
just south of Portland

Brandon took Mike to an Oregon State Baseball game – IT POURED!
but Mike had a great time…..  pictured are Brandon, Anna and Mike

We got to have our grand-dog over for a week.

Mike was on walk duty !
Our house is in a quiet little neighborhood – we love it! 

 

Moving was a really big deal……… a lot of work for us old folks….
But now we are here and enjoying the kids and grandkids…
It’s all working out in the end.

Sorry this is so short.  Things are slowing down – I will try to do better next month!

Moving Again - Oregon - Here we Come - Mike & Janet - January 2025.

     January 2025 

We started off January with a cool visit to the Ice cream stand near us.
A small beautiful outdoor setting.

Some dear friends of ours, celebrated their 50^th Anniversary.

Meanwhile back in Oregon, Duke is getting ready for a “walk” in the rain,
Isn’t he looking handsome and ready for the weather?

While up in Oregon for Christmas, we got to see a Blazer Game.
It was so much better in person, rather than on TV.
and “YES” they won !

Our most recent concert here in Country Roads was “Kenny &  Dolly”
My favorite concert ! 
They were outstanding – the best!

They looked good and really sounded like the original duo.
We have been really busy getting our life packed up and ready for our move to Oregon 
January is over – next month will be a very busy month, Moving and all.

Now we're Moving again! - Mike & Janet - December 2024

 

HAPPY NEW YEAR  !!

Well – its official.
We are moving to Oregon…Sherwood Oregon
We have sold the Jeep and our home and have a
moving date of February 28^th.

We have purchased a home in
Sherwood…..
20906 SW Trails End Drive
Sherwood, Oregon  97140.
 

It will be so good to be close to our boys.

The home is wonderful and we are so very excited.

We sold our Yuma home fully furnished…..

So everything we get in Sherwood will be new (atleast new to us)

So much fun !

Thanksgiving has come and gone….
Christmas is coming!

We started out the month with a great concert

This was a tribute to Roy Orbison

We had a wonderful Veterans Day Celebration.

Veterans celebration includes a great parade too!

Later in the month, we drove over to Tucson
for Mike to see a VA dentist.

The drive was beautiful.

We ended the month with two Thanksgiving dinners!

First, on Wednesday before Thanksgiving, we went to a nearby restaurant with friends for a great dinner.

 On Thanksgiving, we spent the day at Mike’s
sisters.  Pat had a fantastic traditional dinner.

Wonderful day!

 

Christmas is coming – Santa is on his way!

Heading home in October.
The Sierra Madre are beautiful.

We came home to find our cactus in bloom (again)
This the third time this plant has bloomed.
After the bloom, I will cut off the bloom.

Outlaw Karoke is back…….like a flash mob.
It just pops up whenever, everybody shows up…
We love it !

Next – We put a “For Sale” sign in front of our house…….

Most everything is centered around selling our place and the Jeep.  Our plan is to move whenever they sell……..Oregon and the kids are calling.

 

The busy time of the year
has started ! 
Meetings, concerts, our friends, so much fun.

Mike is selling his Jeep too.

Just starting to get flowers for the pots in
front of the house.

Well - my 77th birthday has come and gone this month.
Wow - I'm really getting old !

 Fall is finally here !

We started the month with a trip to Kalama Washintonto see their new Native American exhibit

We also saw a Columbia River Cruise ship….
What fun that looks like.

We passed Multnomah Falls while heading up the gorge.
– so beautiful.

Another day we drove to Cascade Locks to visit with Anna.

The Columbia gorge is beautiful.

BRANDON RAN 50 MILES !
He wanted to run 50 miles before his 50^th birthday – an he did!

He trained and he made it.

We are so proud of him.

We spent a good share of our summer camping in Tiny.

A little visitor…

We ended our vacation in Sunriver.

This beautiful buck came by for a visit.

We had a great summer and many thanks to those who put us up. 

Now we are headed south……. Back to Yuma.

 Traveling Time.....

Marc was asked to play in the LPGA pro-am tournament.

They gave him tickets to the real LPGA tournament.
It was a lot of fun.

Beautiful Oregon summer day

While down at the coast we took a walk to
a 800 - 1200 year old “tree”

Wow !  When we finally arrived
It was incredible !

Also in Rockaway was the original “pronto pup” stand
Incredible – the best ever !!

Heading back in Tillamook, the Tillamook Cheese factory

The coast was so beautiful

Great weather at the beach….

After we left the beach, we went to Champoeg State park
Spent a fun week there.

Next we headed back to John & Sheri’s for the next week.

Fun time there……

John & Sheri took us to the Siderius winery for
a members BBQ dinner…..beautiful location.

Next….we are heading up to Brandon’s
for about 10 days.
