We started off
February on our own little “Topless Cruise”
Mike and I, along
with two other couples spent a beautiful day touring through some smaller
southern California towns and enjoying the scenery.
The beautiful days
have given us beautiful mornings,
just perfect for hot air balloons!

Several
of us drove up to Johnson Valley for the “King of the Hammers Experience” It is the day after the King of the Hammers
off roading race. The man speaking in
the picture is one of the contestants….
It was a very interesting day.
About 100 off road jeeps drove on the race course….. but instead of
driving about 100 miles an hour….. we drove at approx. 15 miles an hour. The drivers train for 6 months to physically
get into shape. The race must be
grueling!
Super bowl
Sunday! Great Day – Great weather –
Great game…..
Great outcome! Way to go Broncos!

This was a picture
from our “real” Topless cruise. We made
a stop at the International Banana Museum.
Just one of many stops on this fun day!
I made this quilt
for our dear friends….. the O’Connors. I
was so happy as to how it turned out, I have already bought material to make
one for Mike and I.
It’s called “Strip Search”

February 12th…… BIG DAY!
I had a Total Knee Replacement at Eisenhower Hospital. I am getting sick of these hospital gown
pictures for our blog. Enough. I am vowing to stay healthy! My knee has been bothering me for about a
year and a half….. and I finally decided to get it taken care of. They had me up walking on day of
surgery.
Home ! I have home health care (Physical Therapy)
coming to the motor home three times a week to get me going on my
exercises. Walking 3 times a day (with a
walker – then moving to a cane) Ice on
my leg 3 – 5 times a day. Exercises 3
times a day. This picture shows flowers
from my sisters–in-law and their husbands and my brother-in-law and his
wife. Cheery flowers! Thanks so much!
The month
ends….still exercising, still walking, still icing…… still in pain….but I vow……
March will be BETTER! Stay tuned :)
